1. If you're using a tablet or phone, make sure your phone is horizontal (landscape) and not vertical (portrait).
2. Use a tripod or set the device on something sturdy and stationery. 3. Find a quiet place. Do your best to make sure ambient noise (dishwashers, barking dogs, etc.) is at a minimum. The goal is to have a good, clean sound. If you own an external microphone, use it (but it is not required.) 4. You want the focus to be on your face, so if possible, try not to film in front of a busy background or wear clothing with lots of patterns or graphics. 5. Position yourself in the center of your screen, showing from just below your shoulders to just above your head. 6. Remember that you need to listen to the accompaniment track (with the conductor) on a different device through headphones. The only sound we want to hear on your video is your voice. 7. We know you are watching the conductor video and looking at your sheet music, but do your best to look into the camera on your device while you're singing. 8. BREATHE! You can stop and record your video again if you make a mistake. |
